NIB Unveils Intensive Mentorship Programme to Empower Young Builders, Fight Quackery

The Nigerian Institute of Building (NIB), the professional body responsible for regulating the practice of building in Nigeria, today, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, unveiled a new intensive mentorship programme aimed at rapidly developing the capacity of young professionals in the sector.

The programme is strategically designed for students, probationers, and early-career professionals and is intended to be a robust mechanism for transferring decades of ethical and practical knowledge from experienced, registered Builders to the next generation.

The NIB leadership stressed that the primary objective of the initiative is to elevate the professional standard of practice and aggressively combat the pervasive issue of quackery that has often been linked to building collapse and subpar construction quality across the nation.
