Zamfara’s Ultra-Modern Stadium Hits 90% Mark; Gov Lawal Set to Unveil World-Class Arena This February!

The long wait for a world-class sporting facility in Zamfara is almost over! The state government has announced that the massive upgrade of the Zamfara State Stadium is now 90% finished, with the contractors preparing to hand over the keys next month.

Governor Dauda Lawal’s vision of turning the state into a sports hub is finally becoming a reality. The stadium, which has seen a total transformation, is being fitted with top-tier artificial grass that meets international standards, meaning the state’s local teams won’t have to travel elsewhere to play high-stakes matches.

“We are in the final stretch,” a government spokesperson said. “By February, the people of Zamfara will have a stadium they can be proud of. This isn’t just about football; it’s about giving our youth a place to shine and keeping them away from crime.”

Beyond the pitch, the upgrade includes brand-new seating for fans and upgraded VIP sections, ensuring that every spectator gets a “front-row” experience. The addition of modern floodlights also means the stadium is now ready for night-time action, a move expected to boost the local economy as vendors and fans gather under the lights.

As workers put the finishing touches on the landscaping and electrical systems, excitement is building in Gusau. If everything goes according to plan, the first whistle in the newly renovated “theatre of dreams” will blow in just a few weeks.
