Afrobeats singer Victor Adere, known as Victor AD, has publicly apologized to fellow artist Tiwa Savage regarding an unreleased collaboration. He shared his apology in an open letter on social media, acknowledging that he should have addressed the issue earlier.
In his message, Victor AD explained that Tiwa Savage had contributed a verse to his popular song ‘Wetin We Gain’, but the remix was never released. He mentioned that while he could offer various reasons for this, none would justify the effort and creativity she invested in the project.
Victor AD wrote, “Thank you, Mama, for blessing my song ‘Wetin We Gain’ with a verse. Unfortunately, the remix never saw the light of day. I could go on and on explaining why it didn’t happen, but none of those explanations matters more than the genuine effort, love, and creativity you poured into making the song beautiful. For that, I’m truly sorry about how things turned out.”
He also took a moment to express his gratitude for Tiwa Savage’s contributions to the music scene, stating, “Your impact is undeniable, and I’ll never take your contribution to my journey for granted.”
In response, Tiwa Savage assured him that she held no hard feelings. She replied, “I appreciate this. God knows the reason for everything. All love.”
