Atiku Abubakar Promises Affordable Living and Security for Nigerians
Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, has criticized the increasing cost of living and insecurity in Nigeria. He promises to make life more affordable and restore safety if elected in the upcoming general election.
In a post on his official X account, Atiku urged registered voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) before the elections. He acknowledged that many Nigerians, regardless of age, are facing economic hardships and security fears.
Atiku expressed empathy for parents struggling to feed their children and for pensioners who must choose between buying food and medicine. He pointed out that young workers often find it hard to meet their basic needs despite working hard.
He also highlighted the ongoing threat of kidnapping and violence, stating that many families live in fear for their loved ones’ safety. Atiku emphasized that no family should have to endure both hunger and insecurity.
He called on eligible voters to engage in the electoral process and protect their PVCs, which he described as essential tools for demanding change. “Hold on to it. It is your voice, your choice and your peaceful power to demand change,” he said.
Atiku blamed the current administration under President Bola Tinubu for the high cost of living and vowed to reverse this trend. He called for national unity and urged Nigerians to support his vision for a safer and more dignified life for all families.
