Governor Makinde to Present 2027 Budget to Oyo Assembly on November 10

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, is set to present the 2027 budget to the Oyo State House of Assembly on Tuesday, November 10, 2026. He informed the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, in an official letter that was shared with lawmakers during a meeting.

The governor’s announcement aligns with a constitutional requirement that the state government must present its annual budget to the legislature. He emphasized that this budget is significant as it will be the last one his administration will propose before it ends in May 2027.

Governor Makinde described the budget as a critical opportunity to build on the progress made during his time in office. He aims to ensure continued growth and development in Oyo State through this fiscal plan.

In his letter, he requested that the budget presentation be scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on November 10. This event will allow lawmakers to review and discuss the government’s spending priorities for the upcoming financial year.
