House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas Mourns Loss of Mother-in-Law

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, has been thrown into mourning following the passing of his mother-in-law.

In a statement released on Saturday by his media office, Speaker Abbas expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing his late mother-in-law as a kind, prayerful, and supportive matriarch who played a vital role in the lives of her children and extended family.

Though the cause of death was not disclosed, family sources confirmed that she passed peacefully after a brief illness. She was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites in her hometown, surrounded by family, friends, and sympathizers.

Lawmakers, political associates, and well-wishers have begun sending in condolence messages, offering prayers for the deceased and strength to the Speaker and his family during this difficult time.
