Kaduna Governor Appeals to Residents to Support Road Project
The Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Uba Sani, has officially flagged off the reconstruction of the Jaba-Kwoi Road, a major project that promises to bring significant economic relief and improved connectivity to the people of Southern Kaduna. The governor, speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, described the project as a “lifeline” and a fulfillment of a solemn promise to a community that has endured years of hardship due to the road’s poor condition.
In a show of his administration’s commitment to the region, Governor Sani also inaugurated the construction of an access road to the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia on the same day. He emphasized that the dual ceremonies send a clear message that Southern Kaduna is central to his government’s development agenda.
The new projects are part of a broader infrastructure drive that includes a new phase of road construction and rehabilitation across the state’s 23 local government areas. The government has also earmarked ₦3.5 billion to be used for compensating property owners affected by the construction, ensuring that the process is inclusive and fair to all residents.
Governor Sani called on the people of Jaba and the wider Southern Kaduna region to view the project as a shared journey toward unity and development. He stated that his administration is committed to building a new Kaduna State of unity and progress, where no community is left behind.
