A Hat-Trick of Records! Hilda Baci Stuns Fans with Surprise Third Guinness World Title for Her Massive Jollof Feat
Nigerian culinary queen Hilda Baci has once again proven that her kitchen skills are in a league of their own, officially securing her place as a triple Guinness World Record holder. The news came as a shock to the chef herself, who discovered she had broken an additional record during her famous jollof rice cookout in late 2025.
Baci, who first captured global attention with her legendary 2023 cooking marathon, received an unexpected email this week from the Guinness World Records team. The message confirmed that when she prepared 8,780 kilograms of Nigerian-style jollof rice, she didn’t just set a record for that specific dish she also claimed the crown for the “Largest Serving of Rice” overall.
“I woke up a three-time Guinness World Records holder and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it,” Baci shared with her followers online. She explained that she was casually checking her emails when she found the message from GWR’s creative team, informing her that a review of their guidelines showed her achievement qualified for two separate titles on the same day.
The record-breaking event took place at Eko Atlantic in Lagos, where Baci and her team worked tirelessly to create a pot of rice so massive it fed over 16,000 people. While she was already celebrating the jollof-specific title, this new “proactive award” from Guinness cements her status as one of Nigeria’s most successful record-breakers.
Baci was quick to share the glory with her team, especially her partner-in-vision Oreoluwa Atinmo, noting that the feat was a result of months of planning and intense physical labor. This latest win serves as a powerful start to 2026 for the celebrity chef, who continues to use her platform to showcase the scale and ambition of Nigerian cuisine to the rest of the world.
