Femi Adebayo’s “Seven Doors” Shines at AMVCA 2025, Clinches Major Awards

At the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, Femi Adebayo’s historical drama series, Seven Doors, emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners. The film secured three major awards: Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, and Best Original Score.

Femi Adebayo was honored with the Best Lead Actor award for his compelling portrayal of King Adedunjoye, a monarch navigating complex political and personal challenges. Chioma Chukwuka received the Best Lead Actress award for her role as Queen Amaka, delivering a performance that resonated with both audiences and critics.

The film’s musical composition, crafted by Tolu Obanro, earned the Best Original Score award, highlighting the movie’s rich auditory experience.

The AMVCA 2025 ceremony, held at Eko Hotels in Lagos, celebrated excellence in African film and television. Other notable winners included Lisabi: The Uprising, which also secured three awards, and industry veterans Sani Mu’azu and Nkem Owoh, who received Lifetime Achievement Awards.
