Gombe APC Dumps Paper for Computers; Launches Massive E-Registration to Flush Out ‘Ghost Members’ and Solidify Power!
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State is moving into the future. In a bid to become the most organized political force in the North-East, the party has officially kicked off a state-wide e-registration exercise to put every single member on a digital map.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya, who performed the official “ribbon-cutting” for the project, told supporters that the days of writing names in old notebooks are over. By going digital, the APC hopes to build a database that is “cheat-proof,” making sure that every person claiming to be a member is real and active.
“We want to know exactly who we are and where we are,” a party spokesperson said. The registration isn’t just for the “big men” in the city; officials have been sent into every village and ward in the state with tablets and computers to capture the details of everyone from farmers to students.
Political analysts say this is more than just a census. By launching this now, the Gombe APC is building a “digital army” ahead of the 2027 elections. It also makes it easier for the party to welcome the “big fishes” defecting from other parties, as their names can be added to the system instantly.
As the registration booths open across the state, the message from the Gombe APC is clear: if you aren’t in the computer, you aren’t in the party!
