Lexis Development Launches ‘Ofunds’ App to Drive Financial Access, Registers 15,000 Users in Early Eastern Nigeria Rollout

The Nigerian FinTech space saw a fresh entrant today, Friday, November 21, 2025, with the launch of Ofunds, a new mobile application developed by Lexis Development Company Ltd in partnership with Blord Group. The platform is strategically focused on enhancing financial access and deepening inclusion across Nigeria, particularly in regions where conventional banking services have lagged.

The Founder of Lexis Development Company Ltd, Alexander Ogbeh, confirmed the app’s release, stating that Ofunds is designed to provide seamless, tailored FinTech solutions that address the specific needs of local users, many of whom are currently underserved or entirely unbanked.

“Our goal is fundamentally to make basic financial services more available, especially in areas where traditional banking remains limited,” Ogbeh explained. “The app offers essential tools, including cashless transactions and an ATM card request option, providing a comprehensive, independent digital banking experience.”

Early Adoption Highlights Regional Demand

The app, available on both iOS and Android stores, has already shown significant early traction, garnering over 15,000 users shortly after its launch. This rapid adoption, particularly among users concentrated in Eastern Nigeria, underscores a strong demand for digital solutions that are easy to use and locally relevant.

The firm’s strategy involves leveraging Nigeria’s high mobile phone penetration rate to bring financial independence and convenience to millions of citizens. With the Central Bank of Nigeria pushing aggressively for financial inclusion, the Ofunds app joins a growing list of indigenous solutions attempting to simplify banking and wealth management for the everyday Nigerian.
