Makinde Storms Attack Site, Gifts ₦5m to Grieving Families and Awards Full Scholarships to Orphans; Promises ‘No Victim Left Behind!’
Governor Seyi Makinde has once again proven why he is often called a leader of the people. Following a tragic attack that left several families in mourning, the Oyo State Governor visited the scene today, not just with words of comfort, but with life-changing support for those affected.
In an emotional meeting with the survivors and the families of the victims, Governor Makinde announced that the state government will provide ₦5 million to every family that lost a relative in the tragedy. This money is intended to help the families get back on their feet during this incredibly difficult time.
But the Governor didn’t stop there. Thinking about the children who may have lost their breadwinners, he declared that the Oyo State government would take over their education. Every child affected by the loss will receive a full scholarship that will take them all the way through university.
“We cannot bring back the dead, but we can ensure that their children have a bright future,” Makinde said as he addressed the community. He also confirmed that the state is still paying every kobo of the hospital bills for those who were injured and are still fighting for their lives.
The Governor’s visit has brought a small ray of hope to a community that has been in deep darkness. While the investigation into the attack continues, the people of Oyo State are hailing this move as a true show of empathy and responsible leadership.
