North Central Development Commission (NCDC) Debunks Viral Recruitment Claims, Warns Public Against Fraudsters
The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) has issued a stern warning to the public against falling victim to fake recruitment schemes currently circulating online and through various other communication channels. The Commission categorically stated that it has not commenced any employment exercise, advising job seekers to disregard all such fraudulent advertisements.
In a statement released on Friday, October 24, 2025, the Commission’s Executive Director, Corporate Services, Mr. James Uloko, clarified that the body is still in the foundational phase of its establishment. He explained that since the inauguration of its Board and Management, the NCDC has been focusing on developing its organizational structure, assessing its human and material resource needs, and obtaining necessary waivers and approvals from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation and the Federal Character Commission.
“Any claims of ongoing recruitment are entirely false,” Uloko stated. “This clarification became necessary following persistent rumors suggesting that the Commission is currently employing staff.”
The Executive Director urged the public to be extremely vigilant and avoid being defrauded by scammers who use fake employment offers or bogus online recruitment portals to exploit unsuspecting individuals.
The NCDC assured that when the time for recruitment arrives, the process will be publicly announced and conducted in line with due process, transparency, and fairness, with the full involvement of all relevant government stakeholders.
