Paris Police Arrest Three Teens for Violent Attack on 11-Year-Old Students; Victims’ Families Demand Justice as Bullying Crisis Grows

The streets of Paris are facing a new wave of concern after a disturbing attack on young schoolchildren led to the arrest of three teenagers on Friday, March 20, 2026. The incident, which took place in the 19th arrondissement, has left parents worried about the safety of their children during their daily commute.

According to police reports, two 11-year-old boys were targeted by a group of three older teenagers as they left their school premises on Thursday afternoon. The suspects allegedly cornered the victims, demanded their mobile phones, and began a physical assault that left one of the younger boys with a head injury. Witnesses say the older boys “showed no hesitation” during the brief but violent encounter before fleeing the scene.

Thanks to the quick work of the Paris “Brigade des Mineurs” (Juvenile Brigade), the suspects were identified through high-definition street cameras. By Friday morning, police had conducted raids in the northeast of the city, taking all three suspects aged 14 and 15 into custody.

This latest arrest comes at a time of heightened tension in French schools. The government has recently promised “zero tolerance” for school-related violence, with President Emmanuel Macron insisting that schools and their surroundings must remain a safe haven for children. As the three teens await their court date, local authorities have increased police patrols around middle schools in the area to reassure frightened parents and students.
