Free ICT Training Offered to Enugu Indigenes

In a move to boost digital literacy and combat unemployment, a private technology firm, the S.Mobile Tech Institute, has launched a one-month, free training program in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for indigenes of Enugu State. The initiative is aimed at empowering participants with skills to thrive in the digital economy and become entrepreneurs.

According to the institute’s founder and CEO, Dr. Kingsley Ifeanyi Adonu, the program’s mission is to provide knowledge that offers more than just job opportunities. “The mission of S.Mobile Tech Institute is to empower you with knowledge that provides not just job opportunities, but also the toolkit for self-employment and entrepreneurship,” he said. He emphasized that technology has the power to unlock boundless opportunities for individuals and nations.

Dr. Adonu expressed gratitude to the Government of Enugu State for creating a supportive environment for innovation to flourish. He noted that the institute has engaged expert facilitators to guide participants through hands-on training, ensuring they gain practical skills.

The training program covers a wide range of modern ICT applications, including AI & Robotics, Websites & Mobile App Development, Graphics & Coding, Software Development, Data Analysis, Social Media Monetization, and Cybersecurity. The launch was described as a “significant milestone” in the company’s efforts to empower Enugu indigenes. The institute called on participants to take full advantage of the opportunity to drive positive change in their communities.
