Police Launch State-Wide Search for Female FRSC Senior Officer, Daughter, Missing Since Sunday in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command today, Friday, November 7, 2025, officially declared a senior operative of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, missing, following their disappearance from their residence earlier this week.

SRC Lasisi, a 38-year-old female officer attached to the FRSC Abeokuta Unit, and her teenage daughter have not been seen since Sunday morning, November 2, 2025, when they reportedly left their residence at the Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

According to a statement released by the State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Omolola Odutola, the incident was formally reported at the Kemta Divisional Police Headquarters on Tuesday, November 5, 2025, by a colleague of the missing officer, accompanied by members of the family.

“All efforts by family members and colleagues to reach the officer and her daughter on their mobile phones have proved abortive,” the statement confirmed, underscoring the seriousness of the unexplained disappearance.

Commissioner Orders Thorough Investigation

The Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, has immediately ordered an “immediate and thorough investigation” to uncover the circumstances surrounding their disappearance and ensure their safe return. The police are treating the matter with the utmost urgency, given the seniority of the officer and the security implications of their vanishing without a trace.

The Command has appealed to the general public to assist the police with any credible information that could lead to the location of SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi. The public is urged to contact the nearest police station or call the Ogun State Police Command’s emergency numbers: 0800 000 9111, 0915 957 8888, or +234 803 860 9898, with the assurance that all information received will be handled with strict confidentiality.
