NYSC Boss Praises Youth Corps Members for Standing Firm and Staying Disciplined During Osun Polls
Management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Osun State has commended corps members serving as ad-hoc election staff for demonstrating outstanding discipline, professionalism, and patriotism during the state’s governorship election.
Osun State NYSC Coordinator, Ekeng Ita Kubiangha, issued the commendation following an extensive field monitoring exercise across polling stations in Ede South, Ede North, Olorunda, Osogbo, and Egbedore Local Government Areas. The inspection tour was aimed at assessing the physical safety and general welfare of the young election workers while evaluating how effectively they managed the voting process on the ground.
Expressing satisfaction with the outcome, Kubiangha noted that corps members complied fully with operational guidelines, security advisories, and national directives issued prior to election day. He highlighted that despite the pressure accompanying election duties, the corps members discharged their official responsibilities courageously and without fear, intimidation, or external influence.
The coordinator also credited inter-agency teamwork for the smooth execution of the exercise, praising security agencies for protecting corps members at various voting points and applauding electoral officials for addressing field issues promptly. He urged the young citizens to maintain the high standard of integrity and commitment as they return to their primary places of assignment.
