Obanikoro Charges Lagos APC Faithful to Stay Lawful and United as 2027 Campaigns Kick Off

Obanikoro Charges Lagos APC Faithful to Stay Lawful and United as 2027 Campaigns Kick Off

As the official window for 2027 electioneering activities opens, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council in Lagos State, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, has called on party members and supporters to demonstrate unyielding discipline, loyalty, and lawfulness.

Obanikoro made the appeal during a mega interfaith prayer session held at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan, Lagos, which brought together party leaders, state executives, and massive crowds of supporters to dedicate the upcoming electoral journey to divine guidance.

Addressing the gathering, the campaign DG emphasized that with the primary elections concluded, all internal friction must be laid to rest. He noted that while party members naturally held diverse preferences during the nomination phase, they belong to a single progressive family and must approach the general elections as an indivisible force.

“We competed with dignity. Let us campaign with respect. Let us disagree without becoming enemies,” Obanikoro told the cheering party faithful, urging them to channel their collective energy toward securing a landslide victory for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and the mandate of the Lagos State governorship candidate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.

He cautioned against internal animosities or actions that could undermine party cohesion, reminding stakeholders that political power is transient, whereas long-term relationships and community stability are enduring. He stressed that opposition platforms would confront the ruling party as a collective entity, requiring the APC to respond with absolute unity of purpose.

Echoing similar sentiments at the event, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu noted that commencing the campaign season with interfaith prayers demonstrated the party’s profound reverence for God, which will be matched by relentless grassroots mobilization and strategic execution.
