Israel Launches Strikes in Gaza on Anniversary of October 7 Attacks, Two Reported Dead

On October 7, 2026, Israel conducted airstrikes in Gaza, marking the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attacks by Hamas. Palestinian officials reported that at least two people were killed in these strikes.

Residents in Gaza heard loud explosions, coinciding with a memorial gathering at the Nova music festival site, where families mourned over 300 people who died in the attacks three years ago.

Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City confirmed the two fatalities from the overnight strikes. One of the deceased was identified as Mohamed Tamous, a volunteer with Gaza’s civil defense, which operates as an emergency rescue service affiliated with Hamas.
