Ebonyi Governorship Candidate Odii Promises ₦2 Trillion Investment in Six Months

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor in Ebonyi State, Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, has promised to bring in over ₦2 trillion in private investments within six months of taking office, if he wins the 2027 election. He shared his plans during an interview on Arise Television’s The Morning Show.

Odii, a businessman, believes he can attract this investment by using his extensive business network. He aims to improve the investment climate in the state and tap into its economic potential. He mentioned that he has over 2,000 business contacts who could be encouraged to invest in Ebonyi if the right conditions are met.

He emphasized that investors look for good returns on their investments. To make Ebonyi appealing, he plans to introduce policies that create a supportive environment for businesses. Odii highlighted sectors like solid minerals, real estate, manufacturing, and hospitality as areas with great investment opportunities.

During the interview, the presenter asked how Odii planned to meet his ambitious investment goal in such a short time and if he had a history of attracting large investments. In response, Odii pointed to his 20 years of business experience and his leadership roles in companies involved in manufacturing and construction.

He described his journey from a small trader to the chairman and chief executive officer of Orient Global Group, which deals in industrial and oil-and-gas chemicals. He also mentioned Optimus Holdings, which focuses on construction and real estate.

Odii believes that his experience in the private sector will help him understand what investors need and create policies that will draw capital to Ebonyi. His investment target and timeline are part of his campaign ahead of the upcoming governorship election in 2027.
