Southwest House of Reps Caucus Remembers Pa Reuben Fasoranti as a Selfless Leader

The Southwest House of Representatives Caucus has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, a prominent leader of the pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere. In a statement, James Abiodun Faleke, the Caucus leader, described Fasoranti as a selfless leader dedicated to the welfare of the Yoruba people and Nigeria as a whole.

According to the Caucus, Fasoranti’s death has left a significant gap in leadership. They praised him for his commitment to unity, justice, and fairness during his time as Afenifere’s leader. Faleke stated, “Pa Fasoranti will be missed not only by the Yoruba, whom he led with dedication and forthrightness. His tenure was peaceful, remarkable, and memorable.”

Fasoranti, who was 100 years old at the time of his death, was known for his ability to unite people under a common cause. The Caucus highlighted that he was respected for his straightforwardness and lack of controversy in his leadership style.

Faleke extended condolences to Fasoranti’s family, the Yoruba community, and the government and people of Ondo State, emphasizing that his absence will be felt across the entire country.
