MC Oluomo Takes English Lessons to Enhance Communication Skills

The President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Musiliu Akinsanya, known as MC Oluomo, has announced that he is taking English lessons to improve his speaking skills. He made this statement on Tuesday during a rally supporting President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

While speaking with Nollywood actor Adams Kehinde, also known as Lege Miami, and other attendees, MC Oluomo admitted that neither he nor Lege Miami are fluent in English. He expressed his desire to enhance his communication abilities, despite his frequent travels abroad.

MC Oluomo shared that he is a U.S. citizen and often tells immigration officials that he is going home when he returns to America. He noted, “Neither of us speaks English fluently, so I am taking classes to improve.”

He also mentioned his children’s success in the United States, where they work as a nurse, a doctor, and an engineer. MC Oluomo said that sometimes he relies on his children to help him communicate when he struggles with English.

In the past, he faced criticism for mispronouncing words, including a recent incident where he pronounced “kudos” incorrectly. He responded to the backlash by acknowledging his educational background and emphasizing that he understands Yoruba well. He also challenged his critics to compare their achievements to those of his children, whom he described as well-educated and successful.
