Netanyahu: Israel’s War with Iran is “Changing the Face of the World”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel’s ongoing conflict with Iran is fundamentally “changing the face of the world,” emphasizing the profound global implications of the escalating hostilities. The bold assertion came during an interview with the Israeli public broadcaster, Kan, as the conflict entered its seventh day.

Netanyahu reiterated a previous claim, stating, “I said that we’re changing the face of the Middle East, and now I say we’re changing the face of the world.” He asserted that Israeli forces are ahead of schedule in their offensive against Iranian nuclear and missile sites, although he declined to provide a clear timeline for the end of what he termed the most intense confrontation in history with Tehran.

The Prime Minister welcomed “all help” in achieving the objective of destroying Iran’s nuclear sites, in an apparent reference to key ally the United States. He stressed that Israel is “capable of striking all of Iran’s nuclear facilities,” but nonetheless, “all help is welcome.” Netanyahu also stated that U.S. President Donald Trump “will do what is good for the United States, and I will do what is good for the State of Israel.”

The current escalation began with surprise Israeli airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear targets, an operation Israel justified by claiming Iran was on the verge of developing nuclear weapons. Iran has retaliated with hundreds of missile and drone attacks, intensifying the direct conflict between the two long-standing adversaries.

Netanyahu’s pronouncements underscore Israel’s view of the conflict as a pivotal moment, not just for regional security, but for the global order, particularly concerning nuclear proliferation and geopolitical power dynamics.
