APC Supporters in Accident While Heading to Rally in Nasarawa

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Benue were involved in a road accident on their way to a rally in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State. The crash occurred on Saturday when their bus collided head-on with another vehicle.

Daniel Ihomun, the publicity secretary of the APC faction in Benue loyal to Senator George Akume, confirmed the incident. He stated that the supporters were traveling to attend a rally for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Ihomun reported that thankfully, there were no casualties, but the injured supporters were taken to a hospital for treatment. The rally was part of a larger gathering of APC supporters from the North-Central region, aimed at showing support for Tinubu and Shettima ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections.

The event was announced by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, following a meeting of North-Central APC leaders in Abuja. It was organized by the North-Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network.
