Federal Government Urges Youth Delegates to Turn Ideas into Action at Conference
The Federal Government has urged delegates at the 2026 National Youth Conference to go beyond mere discussions and create actionable recommendations. These recommendations should address the challenges faced by young Nigerians.
The call was made by the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, during the opening of the conference in Abuja. He emphasized the need for delegates to focus on solutions that can lead to real changes in areas such as jobs, education, and security.
Olawande highlighted that the conference should build on ideas gathered from virtual consultations involving young people from all states. These discussions covered important topics like governance, employment, technology, climate change, and national unity.
He pointed out that the conference aims to give young people a significant role in shaping decisions that impact their lives. Olawande stressed the importance of taking this responsibility seriously, stating that the goal is to help millions of young Nigerians who are not present at the conference.
The Minister also encouraged delegates to respect different opinions and work together to develop practical recommendations that can lead to interventions benefiting young Nigerians.
