Governor Adeleke Fires Back at APC Critics, Says Hobby Doesn’t Stop Him From Delivering

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has brushed off political criticism surrounding his public dance displays, insisting that his lively hobby has never interfered with his executive duties or governance record.

Speaking during a televised town hall debate organized by Arise TV for candidates contesting the August 15 Osun governorship election, Adeleke directly addressed ongoing mockery from political rivals over his energetic public appearances.

Responding to recent jabs by Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo and All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign leaders, Adeleke explained that dancing is a natural family trait and a healthy way to relax. He stressed that there is time for work and time for recreation, emphasizing that once he steps into his office, he approaches state administration with absolute seriousness and prudence.

The governor lightheartedly added that opposition members who complain about his dancing are merely jealous because they lack rhythm, offering to personally give them dancing lessons.

Defending his performance in office, Adeleke pointed to several achievements across Osun State—including newly rehabilitated roads, solar-powered streetlight installations, and community development projects—as concrete evidence that his public displays have not slowed down governance.

He assured voters that his dedication to delivering democratic dividends remains firm, maintaining that citizens appreciate his authentic personality alongside his administration’s progress.
