Actor Hanks Anuku Urges Patience for President Tinubu to Address Nigeria’s Issues
Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has called on Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu. He argues that the country’s problems did not start with Tinubu’s administration. Anuku made these comments during an interview on The Honest Bunch podcast, which was shared on Instagram on Monday.
According to Anuku, Tinubu has inherited many challenges and needs time to implement his policies. He stated, “Nigeria has to be patient for the renewed hope of this man (Tinubu). The country was not spoiled by him; there were people there before him.” He emphasized that rushing for change could lead to worse outcomes.
Anuku expressed his support for Tinubu, stating he expects the president to complete his full term. He mentioned, “I’m going to be hanging out with Mr. President himself. He has to serve his term.” He believes that replacing Tinubu could result in a leader who might be even less effective.
In addition to discussing politics, Anuku shared personal struggles, including the death of his wife, which he described as deeply painful and a source of depression. He mentioned that losing her affected both his personal life and career.
Despite these challenges, Anuku has found peace and strength through his faith. He also addressed rumors about his mental health, stating that videos circulating online had harmed his reputation and caused him emotional distress.
