Pastor Jerry Eze Apologizes to Worshippers Denied Entry at Old Trafford Event

Pastor Jerry Eze has apologized to worshippers who could not enter the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference at Old Trafford stadium in Manchester, UK. The event, organized by Eze’s Streams of Joy International, attracted worshippers from Britain and other countries.

While admission was free, participants needed to register in advance due to limited capacity. Unfortunately, demand for the event was so high that many attendees could not get in, despite the stadium’s capacity of 74,000.

In a video message, Eze expressed his sorrow for those who traveled long distances to attend but were turned away. He mentioned that some worshippers came from as far as Australia, North Macedonia, and Sweden.

Eze stated, “I want to sincerely, from the depth of my heart, apologise to the tens of thousands of people who were turned back.” He acknowledged the disappointment of those who had traveled great distances and felt troubled by the situation.

The pastor explained that the issue was beyond his control and that of his organization. He recognized the reactions from affected worshippers on social media and reassured them that the organizers would learn from the experience to avoid similar problems in the future.

“It will not happen again,” Eze promised, emphasizing that they do not take the situation lightly. He repeatedly apologized, stating, “I am really very sorry. We are sorry. We are very sorry. Please forgive us.”

The conference took place last Saturday and featured Eze along with gospel ministers like Sunmisola Agbebi, Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan, and Kaestrings. Eze concluded his message with another heartfelt apology to those who were unable to enter the stadium.
