Celebrations in Osun State reached a new high when former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo paid an unexpected congratulatory visit to Governor Ademola Adeleke at his country residence in Ede.

The sudden arrival of the elder statesman caught the governor off guard, prompting Adeleke to break into spontaneous dance steps and praise songs to celebrate his successful re-election. Joined by political associate Otunba Oyewole Fasawe, Obasanjo spent time with Adeleke and Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi in a warm, lighthearted atmosphere.

During the visit, Obasanjo offered prayers for the governor’s upcoming term and charged him to maintain strong governance momentum. He encouraged Adeleke to remain dedicated to public service, meet the needs of the electorate, and continuously deliver meaningful democratic dividends across Osun State.

Adeleke secured his second term in office after winning 19 local government areas and accumulating over 511,000 votes in the election.
