Kebbi CP Visits Immigration Command to Condole over Murder of Three Officers by Bandits, Pledges Enhanced Inter-Agency Border Patrols

The Commissioner of Police (CP) for Kebbi State, CP Hassan Musa, paid a solemn condolence visit to the State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in Birnin Kebbi following the tragic murder of three NIS officers by bandits in a border community on Sunday, November 30, 2025. The CP, who was received by the NIS Comptroller, Audu Sifawa, expressed deep sympathy over the loss of the gallant officers, describing the attack as a barbaric act intended to undermine the state’s collective security efforts.

CP Musa firmly reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to inter-agency collaboration, affirming that the Police would work closely with the NIS and other sister agencies to enhance border patrols and intelligence sharing to decisively combat banditry and prevent future assaults on security personnel and border communities.

The CP assured the NIS Command that specialized units had already been deployed to utilize both technical and human intelligence assets to track down and apprehend the criminal elements responsible for the heinous attack. In his response, Comptroller Sifawa thanked the Police leadership for the prompt and morale-boosting visit, acknowledging that such gestures underscore the spirit of partnership necessary for securing the nation’s borders and internal areas, especially in the face of escalating cross-border criminal activities.
