Nvidia CEO Says AI Will Transform Every Industry, Urges Europe to Invest
Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, believes that artificial intelligence (AI) will soon be essential for all companies. He made this statement during a recent visit to Stockholm, where he encouraged European nations to enhance their AI capabilities.
Huang spoke at an event on Thursday, stating, “Every single company will be an AI company eventually. Every single industry will be impacted by AI.” He highlighted the importance of Europe developing its entire AI technology chain, which includes everything from data centers to applications like chatbots.
According to Huang, Nvidia has invested $8 billion in Europe over the past year. He mentioned that the company is focusing on high-quality firms that can help build a robust AI ecosystem in the region. Two examples he provided were Nscale, a British data center and AI cloud provider, and Nebius, a Dutch cloud provider.
In addition to the investments already made, Huang noted that Nvidia has plans for another couple of billion dollars in investments in the near future. He stated, “We’re helping Europe create the AI ecosystem.”
During his visit, Huang also attended the launch of the Sferical One, a supercomputer in Sweden that uses Nvidia chips. This supercomputer aims to keep sensitive Swedish data and expertise within the country. Furthermore, Volvo Cars announced an expansion of its partnership with Nvidia to enhance safety technology in its upcoming self-driving vehicles.
