PDP Candidate Promises Job Creation and Community Development in Anambra South

Prince Samben Nwosu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Anambra South in the 2027 general election, has promised to prioritize job creation and community development. He made these commitments during a meeting with journalists at his home in Nnewi on Tuesday.

Nwosu, who has previously served as the organizing secretary of the PDP and as a Federal Commissioner, emphasized that he aims to tackle the socio-economic issues facing the seven local government areas in his district. These areas include Aguata, Ihiala, Ekwusigo, Orumba North, Orumba South, Nnewi North, and Nnewi South.

He stated that he is running for the Senate not for personal gain, but to provide quality representation for the people of Anambra South. Nwosu expressed his intention to honor the work of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who previously held the position.

Nwosu plans to engage with residents, especially young people, to better understand their needs. He criticized the common practice of short-term assistance during election periods and promised to create long-term economic opportunities instead.

Each local government area in the district would have a unique project under his leadership, he said. Nwosu aims to ensure that any legislation he supports will directly benefit the daily lives of his constituents.

He also addressed concerns about vote buying and manipulation, urging voters to protect their ballots. Nwosu believes that the upcoming election will be different from previous ones and that financial influence should not dictate the outcome.

With confidence in his party’s grassroots support, Nwosu dismissed the chances of rival candidates from other parties. He criticized the tendency of lawmakers to only visit their constituencies during election times to distribute temporary aid, stating that his focus will be on sustainable development throughout his term.
