Presidential Chief of Staff Hits Fake Agency Boss With Massive ₦15 Billion Defamation Lawsuit Over Shocking Bribery and Murder Accusations

The political corridors of Abuja are witnessing an explosive legal battle as the Chief of Staff to the President takes an ironclad stand against character assassination. Femi Gbajabiamila has legally pulled the trigger on a staggering ₦15 billion defamation suit against an alleged rogue operative who attempted to drag his high-level public reputation through the mud.

The legal war centers on Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, the self-proclaimed Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). The presidency has repeatedly raised the alarm over the PFIPC, labeling it a completely fake, unrecognized entity. The crisis boiled over after Adeyemi organized a widely circulated media address and online video interviews, dropping absolute bombshell claims. He boldly asserted that the President’s Chief of Staff demanded an eye-watering 48 percent kickback from a ₦27.3 billion agency take-off grant, slipped a ₦400 million bribe via proxy to secure a political slot, and was somehow linked to the “mysterious” death of an intermediary named Babatunde Tanimola.

Gbajabiamila’s powerhouse legal team, led by Kemi Pinheiro (SAN), quickly filed a Writ of Summons at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory. Under oath, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives delivered a blistering denial, stating he has absolutely zero connection to the defendant. In his witness statement, the Chief of Staff pointed out a massive flaw in the accuser’s story, revealing that during a recent public interview with a popular social media influencer, Adeyemi openly admitted he had never actually met Gbajabiamila face-to-face or even verified that the person he was supposedly dealing with was the actual government official.

“Public office holders must expect strict transparency and public scrutiny, but these reckless accusations cross the line into outright fabrications,” a senior legal counsel from the claimant’s team noted. “For a public officer who has spent decades building a legacy of integrity, allowing these malicious lies to circulate unchecked would compromise the dignity of the Presidency itself. We are going to court to prove that the internet is not a lawless zone where you can destroy reputations for clout.”

The ₦15 billion legal hammer is split strategically. Gbajabiamila is demanding ₦10 billion in general damages which he has publicly pledged to donate entirely to charities of his choice alongside ₦5 billion in aggravated damages to punish the defendant’s persistent online misconduct. Furthermore, the suit wants a court order compelling Adeyemi to buy space in five national newspapers to publish an unreserved retraction, while pinning the apology on all his social media feeds for 30 consecutive days to clean the digital record.

While the multi-billion-naira civil case builds up steam, Adeyemi’s structural ground is rapidly collapsing. The self-styled council boss was recently tracked down and arrested by police operatives in Osun State following a bench warrant issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja. The state is currently prosecuting him on heavy criminal charges bordering on the forgery of presidential signatures, fake appointments, and running a fraudulent agency. With the FCT High Court giving the defendant a strict 14-day window to enter his legal appearance, the political space is watching closely to see if the embattled prince can produce a shred of evidence or face total financial and legal ruin.
