Seyi Vibez Shines at Grand Turnup Affair in Lagos for Independence Day
Nigerian street pop star Seyi Vibez headlined the Grand Turnup Affair, themed GTA, on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The event took place at Sol Beach in Lekki, Lagos, and attracted many fans and partygoers.
The Grand Turnup Affair was organized by Mainland Block Party as part of the Independence Day celebrations. It started on Thursday night and continued into the early hours of Friday, October 2. The event focused on music, nightlife, and street-pop culture, celebrating Seyi Vibez’s latest project, SWAGUU.
Despite a slow start and some initial tension in the crowd, the atmosphere improved as Seyi Vibez performed. The 26-year-old artist kept the audience engaged, dressed in a striking red jacket and shoes, along with black jeans and his signature dreadlocks. He performed popular songs from his new album, including “GTA” and “Dejavu,” which resonated with the fans.
Other artists like Peruzzi, Shoday, Muyeez, and Terry Apala also took the stage, contributing to the lively atmosphere. The crowd’s excitement peaked during Seyi Vibez’s performance of “GTA,” the song that inspired the event’s name.
Earlier this year, Seyi Vibez also headlined another edition of the Grand Turnup Affair at the Police College in Ikeja, showcasing his growing popularity in the Nigerian music scene.
