President Tinubu Leaves Nigeria for Saudi Arabia to Perform Umrah

President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja for Makkah in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, a significant Islamic pilgrimage. He departed on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 2:20 p.m.

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, shared that this trip is an opportunity for Tinubu to engage in spiritual reflection and pray for peace, unity, stability, and progress in Nigeria.

During his time in Saudi Arabia, Tinubu will carry out the religious rites associated with Umrah, seeking guidance and blessings for the nation and its people.

He is expected to return to Nigeria next week after completing the pilgrimage.
