Minister Claims President Tinubu Earned First-Class Degree from Chicago State University

The Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, stated that President Bola Tinubu graduated with a first-class degree in accounting from Chicago State University in the United States. Alausa made this claim during an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday, where he defended the President’s academic credentials.

Alausa, who has lived in Chicago for nearly 30 years, expressed familiarity with the university and mentioned that he has met several individuals who attended the institution alongside Tinubu. He emphasized, “I’m telling you hardcore facts,” and dismissed doubts about the President’s educational background.

When asked specifically about Tinubu’s academic performance, Alausa confirmed, “In accounting, of course,” affirming that the President graduated with top honors. He went on to describe Tinubu as a genius, countering any skepticism regarding the President’s intelligence.

In addition to discussing Tinubu’s education, Alausa defended the President’s performance in office. He claimed that Tinubu has transformed Nigeria from a struggling nation into one that is growing economically. “Look at how he’s transformed a moribund country three years ago to a country that is growing,” he said.

However, when the interviewer raised issues such as the number of out-of-school children and poverty in Nigeria, Alausa insisted that the focus should remain on the President’s achievements rather than these challenges. “I don’t want you to derail this conversation. But this President has delivered this for Nigeria,” he added.
