Yamal and Guler Shine as Europe’s Top Chance Creators in 2026-27 Season
Lamine Yamal from Barcelona and Arda Guler from Real Madrid are making waves as two of Europe’s top chance creators in the 2026-27 season. Recent statistics show Yamal leads with 30 key passes, while Guler follows closely with 28, highlighting their impact in La Liga.
The ranking, published by Planet Football, tracks key passes across Europe’s top five leagues: the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1. A key pass is the last pass made before a teammate takes a shot at goal.
Yamal, just 19 years old, is becoming increasingly influential at Barcelona, showcasing his skills in dribbling and creating chances. Guler, on the other hand, is known for his sharp passing and effective set-piece deliveries, although he has only managed two assists from his 28 key passes, indicating that not all his setups have led to goals.
Other notable players include Paulo Dybala from Roma, who ranks fifth with 23 key passes, and Giacomo Calo from Frosinone, who is fourth with 24. Inigo Vicente from Spain is third with 25 key passes.
Several emerging talents are also making their mark, including Cristian Casseres from Toulouse, Amine Sbai from Angers, and Florian Thauvin from Lens, all with 19 key passes. David Raum, a left-back for RB Leipzig, also stands out with 19 key passes in just five games.
The top ten list is rounded out by Alberto Moleiro from Villarreal, who has 18 key passes along with two goals and three assists. The early season highlights the critical role of creative players as both seasoned stars and newcomers strive to make their impact felt across Europe.
