New EFCC Ilorin Zonal Director Ozioko Vows Tougher Scrutiny Across Kwara, Kogi, and Niger States
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)‘s Ilorin Zonal Directorate has witnessed a change in leadership, with Commander of the EFCC (CE) Anselem Ozioko officially assuming duty and immediately vowing a tougher stance in the anti-graft war across his jurisdiction.
Ozioko made the commitment on Friday, October 31, 2025, during a brief handover ceremony held at the Commission’s office in Ilorin. He took over the command from Daniel Isei, who has been redeployed to the Enugu Zonal Directorate.
In his inaugural address, the new Zonal Director acknowledged the achievements of his predecessor and pledged to sustain and build upon the successes recorded in combating economic and financial crimes. Ozioko specifically emphasized that his focus would be on intensifying efforts across the three states under his command: Kwara, Kogi, and Niger.
“I appreciate the confidence reposed in me by the management of the Commission,” Ozioko stated. “I look forward to working closely with all members of staff to achieve our collective goal of curbing economic and financial crimes. Together, we shall take the Ilorin Zone to greater heights.”
The new boss, an experienced lawyer and former Zonal Director of the Makurdi Office, emphasized that professionalism, teamwork, and integrity would serve as the core values guiding his leadership. He assured residents of the zone that the EFCC under his watch would be relentless in pursuing transparency and accountability in both public and private institutions across the region, sending a strong signal to corrupt elements.
