Yari Claims Two Million Farmers Support Tinubu for 2027 Election
Senator Abdulaziz Yari, the Director-General of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign, announced that about two million farmers have pledged their votes for Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general elections. He made this statement during the launch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign in Kaduna.
Yari dismissed opposition claims that Tinubu’s administration is indifferent to the challenges faced by farmers. He accused opposition parties of using artificial intelligence to spread false information about the President. Yari emphasized that elections cannot be won through lies and misinformation.
He stated that the farmers’ commitment to support Tinubu came after discussions with the APC leadership about the government’s agricultural initiatives. Yari insisted that the farmers understand the administration’s efforts to assist them.
In addition to discussing farmer support, Yari highlighted improvements in Nigeria’s economy under Tinubu, noting a drop in the exchange rate from nearly 1,800 Naira to about 1,300 Naira per dollar. He also mentioned an increase in Nigeria’s foreign reserves from around $3.9 billion to approximately $54.7 billion.
Yari explained that Kaduna was chosen for the campaign launch because of its importance as a political center in Northern Nigeria. He praised the efforts of APC governors in organizing the event and expressed confidence that the region would support Tinubu’s re-election.
He concluded by assuring that the APC would continue grassroots efforts to strengthen the party’s chances in the election, aiming for a broad mobilization of support across Northern Nigeria.
