‘We’re Listening’: JAMB to Review 2025 UTME Results Amid Unusual Complaints
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has acknowledged a wave of concerns from candidates regarding the just-released 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results and has promised to conduct a thorough review.
In a statement released over the weekend, JAMB noted that while the exam process was generally smooth, it has received “unusual complaints” from a segment of candidates questioning the accuracy of their results. Some students have taken to social media to express frustration, claiming their scores were unexpectedly low or inconsistent with their expectations.
“We are aware of the concerns being raised and we take them seriously,” JAMB stated. “The integrity of the UTME remains our top priority. We are currently reviewing the issues reported and will provide updates as necessary.”
The board emphasized that the 2025 UTME was conducted under strict monitoring and technological safeguards, but added that it will not hesitate to investigate any potential technical glitches or errors flagged in the review process.
JAMB also encouraged candidates with genuine concerns to follow the appropriate complaint channels on its official portal and avoid misinformation online.
This move by the board has been welcomed by many education advocates who say it’s a positive step toward reinforcing transparency and trust in Nigeria’s exam and admissions system.
