High Chief Solomon Aguene Celebrates New Home and Honors Late Parents in Ebonyi

High Chief Solomon Aguene, the former President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State, held a ceremony to unveil his new home and honor his late parents on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in Onicha Igboeze, Ebonyi State.

Aguene expressed gratitude to everyone who attended the event, including community members, friends, and family. He described the occasion as significant for his family and thanked those who helped make it a success.

In a message of appreciation, Aguene highlighted the importance of faith, stating, “First and foremost, I give all the glory to God Almighty. Without Him, my double event would not have been possible.” He also thanked the Onicha Igboeze community and guests who traveled from various parts of Nigeria and abroad.

He specifically recognized Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, a local businessman, for his support during the event, calling it a gesture of brotherly love. Aguene also acknowledged other notable guests, including former Super Eagles coach Bonfrere Jo and Hon. Linus Okorie, who chaired the occasion.

Aguene renewed his thanks to the Minister of Works and former Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. Dave Umahi, dismissing rumors of a rift between them. He praised Umahi for being accessible and responsive despite his busy career in public service.

The celebration was attended by traditional rulers, political leaders, and members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, along with Aguene’s family and friends. He plans to hold a thanksgiving service to further express gratitude for the blessings and protection his family has received.
