German Mission Cautions Nigerians on Visa Application Procedures

The German Mission in Nigeria has issued a warning to Nigerians about the proper way to apply for visas to Germany. This caution comes as many people seem confused about the application process.

On Wednesday, the mission shared advice on its social media account, urging applicants to first find out which visa category they need and whether the German Mission in Lagos or Abuja will handle their application.

They emphasized the importance of using the official online appointment system or the visa portal specific to the visa type. The mission also instructed applicants to follow the guidelines for their appointments, gather all necessary documents, and submit their applications in person.

Furthermore, the mission warned against hiring agents to secure visa appointments, stating that the official booking process is free. It reiterated that sending visa documents via email is not an acceptable method for applying.
