KWAM 1 Promotes Peace Between NURTW Leaders MC Oluomo and Sego in Ibadan

During a recent performance in Ibadan, Oyo State, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, known as KWAM 1, urged peace between two leaders of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). The leaders are Musiliu Akinsanya, also called MC Oluomo, and Mustapha Adekunle, known as Tafa Sego.

This appeal took place at the 80th birthday celebration of Alhaji Mudassir Ogunlowo. A video shared on KWAM 1’s Instagram showed him performing with MC Oluomo and Sego standing beside him.

In his performance, KWAM 1 emphasized the importance of unity, stating, “Mustapha and MC are in charge of the house.” He encouraged commercial drivers to support both leaders, suggesting that they work together for the benefit of their community.

KWAM 1 had previously helped resolve conflicts between the two leaders at an event in Ogun State. His digital media page announced that after years of disagreements, the two men had finally settled their differences.

The tensions between MC Oluomo and Sego have been linked to leadership struggles within the Lagos chapter of NURTW. Past incidents of violence, including one in 2019 at a political rally, have highlighted the rivalry between their supporters.

Despite previous conflicts, the recent event in Ibadan shows KWAM 1’s continued efforts to foster harmony among the leaders of the transport workers’ union.
