Olabimtan Confident in Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election Bid Amid Opposition Critique

The Director-General of the Ondo State Presidential Campaign Council, Victor Olabimtan, expressed strong confidence that President Bola Tinubu will win re-election in 2027. He stated that Tinubu has established a solid foundation for a second term through his policies and ongoing reforms.

Speaking in Akure, Ondo State’s capital, Olabimtan dismissed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi as serious challengers. He argued that they have not presented better alternatives to Tinubu’s leadership. He assessed the current administration’s performance and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)’s prospects for the upcoming elections.

Olabimtan highlighted the administration’s achievements in areas like economic management, infrastructure, education, and youth empowerment. He urged Nigerians to evaluate the government’s performance based on the conditions it inherited and the progress made since then.

He emphasized that the ongoing campaign should be judged not just by current conditions but by considering past achievements and future goals. Olabimtan acknowledged that while Nigeria still faces challenges, there has been significant progress under Tinubu’s leadership.

He called for voters to support Tinubu to ensure continuity of the current reforms, particularly for the youth. He challenged opposition candidates to provide clear policies and solutions rather than repeating familiar arguments without substance.

Olabimtan also mentioned that the Ondo State PCC is actively working to secure victory for Tinubu and other APC candidates in the upcoming elections. He expressed optimism about the party’s political structure and mobilization strategies, which he believes will lead to a decisive win.
