Oshiomhole Accuses Atiku of Only Returning to Nigeria for Elections
Senator Adams Oshiomhole has accused Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress, of spending most of his time in Dubai. Oshiomhole made these comments during a campaign rally for the All Progressives Congress in Calabar, Cross River, on Monday.
According to Oshiomhole, Atiku only comes back to Nigeria when presidential elections are near. He criticized Atiku for not living among Nigerians and for being out of touch with the economic and social issues they face.
Oshiomhole claimed that Atiku has a pattern of returning to Nigeria shortly before elections to seek the presidency. He suggested that this behavior shows Atiku is disconnected from the everyday realities of the people.
The senator’s remarks highlight ongoing tensions in the political landscape as the country approaches the next presidential election.
