President Tinubu Arrives in France for Second Leg of Three-Week European Holiday Ahead of 2027 Campaign Return
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, to commence the second leg of his ongoing three-week annual leave in Europe.
The President, who flew into the French capital following the first leg of his vacation in London, United Kingdom, was received at the airport by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Emmanuel Ayodele Oke. Visuals of his arrival were similarly shared across official presidency channels.
President Tinubu originally departed Abuja on August 30, 2026, for what was structured as a combined working and annual holiday. While the initial days of the break were spent in London, the transition to Paris marks the final stretch of his time abroad before heading back to the country.
In an earlier statement announcing the break, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, noted that the Nigerian leader is scheduled to wrap up his leave and return to Abuja to formally steer the machinery for the upcoming January 2027 general elections, where he flies the flag as the presidential candidate and campaign council chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
State house sources confirm that the President is expected to resume full official duties in Abuja upon the completion of his leave.
