Gospel Singer Toluwanisings Rushed to Multiple Hospitals Before His Death
The personal assistant to late gospel singer Olayemi Bolaji, known as Toluwanisings, has shared that the singer was taken to several hospitals in Ibadan, Oyo State, after he suddenly collapsed. Despite efforts to get medical help, he did not survive.
Babadunni Gbolabo, the assistant, said that Toluwanisings seemed healthy before the incident, which occurred on the morning of October 14, 2026. He explained that some hospitals could not admit the singer due to a doctors’ strike, while others simply refused to take him in.
Gbolabo was not at the scene when Toluwanisings collapsed but rushed there after receiving a call. He described the frantic attempts to revive the singer, stating, “They tried to resuscitate him. They went helter-skelter.”
He noted that they visited between seven and eight hospitals but faced various excuses for the lack of care. Gbolabo added, “We tried our best, including prayers. But God said his time was up.”
The family confirmed that Toluwanisings’ body is currently in a mortuary while they discuss funeral arrangements. Gbolabo mentioned that family members are gathering to decide on the next steps and that details about the funeral will be shared later.
In a statement on social media, the family described Toluwanisings as a cherished husband, family member, and gospel minister.
