Woli Arole Calls for Peace Amid Toluwanisings’ Burial Dispute
Comedian and preacher Woli Arole has asked family members and others involved in the burial dispute of late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, known as Toluwanisings, to allow him to be buried with dignity. Arole shared his thoughts in an Instagram video, expressing the deep pain felt by friends and loved ones after the singer’s death.
Arole stated, “We’ve lost a great guy, a great gift to a generation.” He emphasized that the focus should be on the well-being of Toluwanisings’ wife and two children rather than the ongoing controversy surrounding his burial.
He criticized those using the situation for social media attention, saying, “It’s saddening that a lot of people are now beginning to use it as a means for social media traction.” He urged everyone to stop unnecessary discussions and instead work towards a respectful burial.
Arole expressed a strong desire for the issues surrounding the burial to be resolved quietly. He said, “Let the young man be given a befitting burial,” and reminded everyone that the deceased’s legacy cannot be tarnished by the current situation.
He added, “Nobody can ruin his legacy; he lived a good life.” Arole encouraged people to focus on preserving Toluwanisings’ memory through his family, saying, “I want to beg you in the name of Jesus, focus our energy on what is left: how his legacy will be preserved in his children and his wife.”
Toluwanisings passed away on October 14, 2026, but the cause of his death has not been revealed. His burial plans have sparked public debate, particularly after a family representative opposed a cemetery burial and threatened to exhume his remains if buried there.
