Cops Blast Two Kidnappers to Death, Seize AK-47, and Rescue Abducted Ogun Prince From Royal Home Invasion

A major tactical operation by the Ogun State Police Command has ended in a decisive victory for local security forces after operatives shot and killed two suspected kidnappers, recovered heavy weaponry, and successfully secured the release of an abducted traditional prince.

The high-profile security crisis began when a gang of unidentified gunmen breached security walls and stormed the private country home of Prince Idris, the Prince of Okun Owa. The armed invaders overwhelmed local guards, dragged the royal figure out of his residence, and whisked him away into the dense forest blocks bordering the community.

The royal abduction triggered an immediate, top-tier security response. Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, ordered the instant mobilization of the command’s elite Anti-Kidnapping Unit alongside specialized tactical strike teams.

Security forces used localized electronic tracking data and community intelligence networks to mount relentless operational pressure on the kidnappers’ hideouts. Realizing that their escape routes were completely blocked by heavy security cordons, the cornered gang was forced to abandon their royal captive, allowing Prince Idris to be recovered alive, stable, and completely unhurt.

However, the police operatives refused to call off the operation after the rescue. Determined to bring the gang to justice, the tactical teams tracked the fleeing syndicates deep into their primary operational base situated along the Agoro/Imodi axis of the state.

This professional counter-offensive resulted in the immediate neutralisation of two of the suspected kidnappers, while other members of the syndicate managed to scramble into the thick undergrowth, escaping with severe gunshot wounds.”

A thorough sweep of the immediate battlefield and the bodies of the deceased suspects yielded highly incriminating exhibits. Search teams recovered a combat-ready AK-47 assault rifle equipped with an empty magazine, two operational mobile phones used for coordinating logistics, and a large bag believed to be a ransom bag designed for moving cash illicitly extorted from victims’ loved ones.

With the bodies of the neutralised suspects deposited at a state mortuary for formal autopsy, the police command has intensified its border patrols and rural surveillance sweeps. CP Bode Ojajuni has placed local medical facilities and traditional healers across the local government areas on high alert, instructing them to immediately report any individuals presenting with suspicious, untreated gunshot injuries as the state moves to permanently lock down the remnants of the criminal network.
