Actress Ms DSF Says Financial Stability is Key Before Having Children

British-Nigerian actress and DJ Dorcas Shola Fapson, known as Ms DSF, recently shared her thoughts on parenthood during an episode of the ‘In My Opinion’ podcast. She believes that people who are not financially stable should think twice before having children.

Ms DSF argues that raising children without the necessary financial support is unfair to both the children and the parents. She stated, “Broke people shouldn’t have kids. I don’t think it is fair to the children. It is not fair to the family. It is not fair to you.”

To emphasize her point, she shared a personal story about a cousin who has five children but has struggled financially since the birth of her first child. According to Ms DSF, her cousin frequently asks for help with school fees and basic needs, which she believes is unfair to the children.

Ms DSF, who grew up in a modest household, expressed her desire to avoid putting her own children through similar hardships. She encouraged future parents to consider their financial situation and only have as many children as they can adequately support.
